ABOUT SAM
There has always been a place in my heart to create. My interest began as a child in my grandfathers' studio in the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. I loved the serenity it would bring me to put pen and brush to paper while listening to WFMT. As I grew up in the city I dabbled in many life and work experiences to find my place in the art world. For some time, I found myself giving up my practice over and over struggling with addiction and emotional health. My family and friends have always been supportive of my artwork despite my ups and downs and I will forever be grateful towards them. At age 24, I got to transfer to Columbia College Chicago and learned an incredible amount about design technique and all different genres. I graduated in 2014 and soon after became a mother and a wife while practicing in my home studio. For some time I would participate in city festivals, coffee shops, or church gatherings which I enjoyed. I am learning to practice my art as a necessity these days and love it every step of the way. I hope you enjoy the site and find something you like. Feel free to email or send a chat message and I would be happy to talk.
